WordPress is my CMS of choice and I have been using the open source product for over a decade to build websites for small clients.
Greenleaf Neurodiversity Center
Greenleaf Neurodiversity Community Center is a non-profit organization that provides support and resources for individuals with neurodiverse conditions. I built a new website for them that reflects their mission and values, while also providing easy access to information and services.
This was a probono project I took on as a participant in the Knowbility Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR) which provides local nonprofits with fully WCAG compliant websites. I conducted an inital audit of the site and learned it was built using the Divi visual builder which presented several major accessibility challenges. Afterwords I rebuilt it using a vanilla WordPress theme that enabled me to style it to match their current site with custom page templates and CSS. I also utilized several accessibility plugins to make sure the site structure was accessible to users with viusal imparements or using screenreaders and created transcripts for their videos for users with hearing impairments.
Brent did a fantastic job on our Spring Mountain Medical project. He built a great mobile-friendly UX that is fast and performs. He asked the right questions, while getting the job done early and under budget. I would highly recommend Brent for your next WordPress project.
22qtexas.org Non Profit
22qtexas.org is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources and support for individuals and families with the rare 22q11.2 chromosomal deletion syndrome. I designed a new logo built a new marketing site for their organization that promoted their events, medical resources,and enabled users to donate online.
My daughter has 22q and it was my pleasure to offer my services to help the group update their website and train their board members on WordPress o they could make their own updates. This website is such a valuable resource for families in Texas that have children with such a rare condition. It helps them connect online and in person

Spring Mountain Medical provides family medicine and physical rehabilitation to patients in Pahrump, NV. I built a new marketing site for their practice that extended their branding, promoted their services, and enabled patients to schedule appointments online.
We worked closely together to draft content with SEO in mind, and I created custom page templates to accommodate. Design, implementation, and testing were completed in order to launch on time for the client.

GSI Investments
GSI Investments provides full service real estate investment and management to clients in the Dallas and Fort Worth area. I designed a WordPress theme based on the fonts and colors in their logo and used their current site copy to inform the structure of new page templates.
Using WordPress, I helped GSI grow from a static site to one they learned to self-manage.
Additionally I created an online leasing application for potential tenants. This feature streamlined their operation by digitizing and monetizing the application process.

Hair To Stay
Hair To Stay is a non-profit whose mission is to help cancer patients fight hair loss while they fight cancer. They promote Cold Caps, a device patients wear during chemotherapy to help retain their hair. They also provide scholarships for Cold Caps and conduct fundraisers to help their patients.
My client was a cancer survivor herself, she is near and dear to me, and wanted her website rebuilt in a CMS she was familiar with.
I migrated their email and website to a more stable hosting environment and replicated their Squarespace theme into WordPress.
